But fear not, as an ex-psychotherapist and hypnotherapist turned full-time online marketing coach, I’m going to share my secrets on how to effectively market yourself as a life coach.

2 Your brand is about you. Let your messages reflect your values, humour, and personality. Don’t try to market the coaching or therapy itself – focus on marketing yourself as a unique individual.
3 Don’t offer free coaching sessions. While some coaches have been successful with this method, it is generally not advisable. Many clients do not follow through with the ideas given during free sessions, and it can be difficult to draw the line and ask clients to start paying.
4 Invest in yourself. Never stop learning and growing. However, be sure to strike a balance and avoid using attending courses as a way to avoid actually taking action.
5 Understand your market. While there will always be those who want free sessions, there are also plenty of people willing to pay for the help you offer. Focus on finding these individuals, and don’t base your business solely on compassion.
6 Have a SYSTEM for your marketing and stick to it like glue, (even if it doesn’t seem to be working at first!)
